The Stylistics as they say is currently one of the longest standing, most accomplished soul bands to grace RnB scene and I definitely agree to that. They produced 12 consecutive top-ten hits from 1971-1974. (ehh.. wala pa ako nito ah!) I think the most thriving period of their career was 1975 when they started working with Van McCoy. Appeared that every song they released, highlighting softer and engaging ballads made them antipode among other popular contemporaries brought them success. The Stylistics had engraved a stature being the most soulful group throughout their period.

The Stylistics lingers in our listening repertoire...You make me feel brand new, You are everything, Betcha by Golly.. Wow!, Let's put it all together, Star on a TV show to name a few. I remember back home, my family enjoys videoke and they religiously passed on the microphone to me to sing, "You make me feel brand new". I was the only one who could hit the right tune, haha!
The concert was held in Hall 3 of HKCEC and I felt happy for the organizers because the whole venue was full and I am glad even more that my husband and I are now feeling brand new, thanks to the Stylistics.
