breather

It's been a month since I started this blog and posted an entry... (*sigh*, sorry blog.. been busy).
I am quite lazy today. Weather is pleasant yet I am not in the mood to go out, probably because of these annoying common colds because of my allergic reaction to high humidity.

Sometimes I get scared when I looked out my window, seeing nothing from afar. It's frightening to realize there has been too much pollution around. I remember a month ago the sea mishaps that took place not far from HK harbor, a ferryboat collided into huge cargo ship causing serious injuries and fatalities to those aboard because of zero visibility.

Last Monday, I felt I need a short breather, I told my husband that I want to see mountains, beach, sand and grasses beneath my feet. He was quick to respond Lamma and that's where I exactly wanted to go. It's different atmosphere and environment out there as I could smell the drying leaves, the summery breeze, the pigs droppings. I could hear nothing but children’s laugher, old man's whisperings, birds chirping, pigs oink oink and most of all the crackling of dry leaves and branches along the path. Ahh, I often asked Junvie are we still in HK most especially when the freshly cooked calamari and deep-fried in garlic and butter shrimp with cold beer was served. Now, that's really a breather!

We took all the time to refresh, we breathed out all the scary particles we inhaled in Hong Kong and breathed in all the goodness nature has to offer. It might have been so short but that is enough to sustain a month long battle in this fast paced, polluted city.
Yeah, you read it right.. a month long as we are about to have another vacation again. And this time... we're heading home. :)
